SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, ANTIQUE — In a major step toward advancing digital literacy and technical skills, Antique National School (ANS) kicked off a comprehensive, whole-day Web Development Training today, March 16, 2026. The event marks a significant collaboration between ANS and the University of Antique (UA), aimed at equipping participants with essential 21st-century digital competencies.
The day’s program commenced with warm welcome remarks from ANS Principal, Mr. Roger A. Jomolo. In his address, Principal Jomolo emphasized the critical need for technical adaptability in today's digital landscape, highlighting the school's commitment to providing top-tier educational opportunities for its community.

Ceremonial Signing: Following the opening remarks, a Ceremonial Signing took place to officially cement the partnership between UA and ANS. This memorandum represents a shared vision between the two institutions to bridge the digital divide and foster a culture of technological innovation within the province.

Introduction to Project RS-AIKS: Before diving into the technical modules, attendees were given a short background on Project RS-AIKS. As the driving initiative behind today's event, the project aims to integrate advanced IT skills and knowledge-sharing frameworks into the local educational system.

The Training Proper: The core of the whole-day activity focuses on hands-on web development. Guided by expert instructors, participants are spending the day learning the fundamentals of building, designing, and deploying modern websites, translating theoretical concepts into practical coding experience.
The full-day immersion is expected to conclude this afternoon, leaving participants with a solid foundation in web development and a certificate of participation. This collaborative effort under Project RS-AIKS is anticipated to be the first of many initiatives designed to empower the Antiqueño youth and academic community in the tech space.
