The largest public secondary school in the province of Antique — empowering thousands of students through world-class Junior and Senior High School programs.

Our Story

Antique National School (ANS) stands as a beacon of educational excellence, tracing its origins back to 1906. Nestled in San Jose de Buenavista, the provincial capital of Antique, ANS has a storied past that reflects its commitment to nurturing young minds.

Officially named in 1918 and elevated to national school status in 1963 through Republic Act 3657, thanks to the efforts of alumnus Hon. Tobias Fornier, ANS has continually evolved. After relocating to T.A. Fornier Street in 1927 and triumphantly reopening post-World War II in 1945, it has grown into the province’s largest secondary school. Today, ANS proudly educates over 6,000 students, offering free, quality public education under the Department of Education’s guidance.
